Maret 31,

G'day everyone!

In this video I show you how to replace/upgrade the rear sub-frame bushings on a BMW E34, with basic hand tools and some quick tricks. I show. May 11, BMW e30 rear subframe bushing removel and install. The subframe is held to the car through these bushings by 9mm x ~mm studs. These studs have a splined shoulder that is pressed into an opening in the floor of the car under the rear seat and must be removed to use either of the BMW tools to replace the bushings.

Feb 07, After extensive reading here about rear subframe bushing removal and replacement, I can see that no two people seem to agree on how difficult the job is, or frankly on how best to do the job.

I see a lot of mention of the sawzall method, huge hammers, pullers, tools, torchs, dish soap, etc., but about the only thing everyone agrees on is. Apr 14, BMW Z3 Joined Jun 29. 5, Posts. #8 Apr 13, (Edited) Blacklane said: The consensus is that if they are original, they need to be replaced.

That's because BMW installed fairly soft rubber there, which causes the subframe that holds the differential to move too much.
